Ken Rosenthal has been fired from MLB Network due to previous criticism of Major League baseballs commissioner, Rob Manfred. Rosenthal made some comments in 2020 about how Manfred must strike a deal with the players and the MLB players union or his legacy is ruined. MLB Network was not fond of that.

Firing somebody due to his opinion is definitely not a good look, especially in a Major League sport. MLB Network did a horrible job here by letting go of him and Rob Manfred should also be ashamed not only because of the bad product that he puts out in the world but also for allowing this to happen.

Some of the rules that he has implemented in today's game are simply not made for the MLB and have certainly ruined the game. There have been many players and fans of the MLB that have expressed their displeasure with how Manfred controls the game. Pretty much everything that he has done since being the commissioner has been a bad thing. If he wants to make this right, he's going to need to get Ken his job back and he's also going to need to change around some of the rules that he has in the MLB.

It will be interesting to see what MLB Network decides to do and if Manfred will vouch for him to get his job back. Rosenthal confirmed on Twitter that nothing else is going to change and he is going to remain part of the teams at The Athletic and Fox Sports.
