Boom. This is one of the big deals we've been waiting for as the MLB trade deadline inches closer and closer. Texas Rangers slugger Joey Gallo is on the move, finally, after years of rumors. According to Jeff Passan of ESPN, Gallo is headed to the New York Yankees.

Gallo was one of the biggest names on the market, and for good reason. Fresh off an appearance at the Home Run Derby during the MLB All-Star Game festivities, and due to the Rangers struggles, it made sense for him to be involved in a deal.
The return seems to be a lot of players headed to Texas.
Sounds like this deal will send Joey Gallo and LHP John King to New York. A big haul of prospects going back to Texas.

On the year, Gallo has smacked 25 home runs with 55 RBIs and will provide the Yankees lineup with a much-needed boost and add to a lineup that includes Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge, forming a formidable trio of stars in the Big Apple.
After weeks and weeks of rumors, and after rumors about Gallo at last season's MLB trade deadline, he is finally on the move and headed to the Yankees. The Yankees are trying to do anything they can to make some noise in the American League East, as they trail the Boston Red Sox and the Tampa Bay Rays, and acquiring Gallo is a big bonus for them.
