Folks, you’re looking at the future of baseball. Los Angeles Angels superstar Shohei Ohtani is pulling off the unthinkable in the 2021 MLB All-Star Game as he’s set to participate in the Home Run Derby, then DH and start on the mound during Tuesday’s game:

This is just absolutely wild in itself. Shohei Ohtani can do it all on the diamond and we’ll see his talents on full display during the All-Star festivities. The Angels slugger has clubbed an MLB-best 33 homers this season while also hitting .276 on the year. On the bump, Ohtani has been phenomenal as well, posting a 3.49 ERA in 67 innings and striking out 87.

He ramps it up to triple-digits on a regular basis and has absolutely nasty stuff. This is something we’ve never really seen to this extent in the big leagues well, except for Babe Ruth. But, Shohei Ohtani is a different type of athlete altogether.

It will be interesting to see how he does in the Home Run Derby on Monday as well. Ohtani heads in as a clear favorite to win it all thanks to the ridiculous power he possesses at the dish.

What a next couple of days this will be for Shohei Ohtani in Denver. That elevation makes the ball soar too, so don’t be surprised to see some moonshots.
