White Sox injury woes continue to mount amid hot start

White Sox, MLB, Tony LaRussa, Nick Madrigal

The Chicago White Sox are among the top contenders to win the American League and bring home a World Series trophy. However, the Sox have been decimated by injuries, including two previously to Luis Robert and Eloy Jimenez, two young stars for Tony LaRussa’s squad.

Now, another big injury for the White Sox as they look to try and find a way to stay atop the AL Central after their latest injury woe.

The White Sox now will be down three huge position players, not to mention pitcher Michael Kopech who also went on the shelf.

The White Sox have jumped out to a hot start to being the season and have a four-game lead over the Cleveland Indians in the AL Central. Madrigal leaves with a .305 batting average, and Robert and Jimenez were everyday starters for Chicago.

So, finding a way to replace them might be tough. It will be interesting to see how the trade market plays out across the entire MLB, with the White Sox expected to be active as they aim for a World Series title. They came into the season with high hopes, and the injuries have been tough to overcome. Nonetheless, the Sox comfortable lead in the division should be enough to– at the very least– snag a spot in the playoffs.

With the MLB trade deadline approaching, they probably add a piece or two and try and go all-in to bring home a World Series trophy to the fans and city of Chicago.

Don’t count out LaRussa and the White Sox from putting a band-aid on amid all the injuries and still finding a way to win the division and remain a threat in the American League in efforts of topping the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox as the AL supremacy.
