When Yankees super-fan Jimmy O’Brien created Jomboy Media four years ago, he couldn’t have imagined what it would become. The growing media outlet that started out as a humble baseball channel has developed into a massive player in the MLB media industry. The company has hired former MLB players and famous media personalities, and is quickly becoming one of the most well-known entities amongst sports fans. O’Brien and his friend Jake Storiale make up the main duo for Jomboy Media. They also headline one of the shows entitled “Talkin’ Yanks.” Their Yankees fandom has paid off as it was recently announced that Jomboy Media has partnered with the New York Yankees YES Network

They will be featured on the YES Network app for a segment called “Jomboy Watch Party.” This is expected to include O’Brien, Storiale, and more of the Jomboy crew watching and discussing Yankees games throughout the season.

Former pitcher and current YES Network employee, David Cone, will work with Jomboy Media as well. Cone will have one segment where he and Storiale teach people how to play”Blitzball” as well as a pitching-based podcast entitled, “Toeing the Slab.”

Yankees fans are surely excited for this announcement, but Jomboy Media has become an outlet that is beloved not just by baseball fans, but sports fans in general. It has also been a very useful tool in growing the game. O’Brien’s famous breakdowns are what helped gain the company traction and was their main jumpstart.

The future is unquestionably bright for Jomboy Media, and this is a move that will pay off for the New York Yankees and YES Network as well.
