The MLB has seen a lot of players try and make returns after suffering injuries. One example is Cole Hamels, the veteran lefty who had been out for what seems like an eternity. However, Hamels signed a deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers but unfortunately failed to make an appearance after suffering yet another injury setback.
But, Hemsl doesn't plan on calling it quits yet, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network, and is doing what it takes to make a comeback and pitch again at the MLB level.
Cole Hamels isn’t yet ready to retire and plans to give it another try. The disappointing setback with the Dodgers wasn’t his last attempt.

Hamels just won't give up, at least not yet. He made just one start in 2020 for the Atlanta Braves, going a total of 3.1 innings and missed the entire season and the 2021 season as well. Hamels tried his best to make his return and did find an MLB team to take him on, although he didn't throw a pitch for the Dodgers.
Even though he didn't pitch, the Dodgers are still on the hook for his $1 million contract despite the fact.
Cole Hamels had arm pain again and is done for the year while the #Dodgers are on the hook for $1 million.

Nonetheless, if Hamels can get healthy, there should once again be a ton of MLB teams aiming to sign him on a cheap contract in 2022, and perhaps Hamels can finally make his return to the mound in a successful fashion.
