Veteran point guard Mo Williams is planning a return to the NBA.

The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski received word from Williams' agent, Raymond Brothers, that the 34-year-old is preparing for a comeback in the upcoming 2017-18 NBA season.

Williams last saw action on the court in 2016 as a member of the championship-winning Cleveland Cavaliers. He posted averages of 8.2 points, 2.4 assists, and 2.3 rebounds in 18.2 minutes – all career-worsts save for his rookie season.

The one-time All-Star saw his greatest success in the big leagues during the 2009 season in his first stint with the Cavs. Williams also had two stints with Utah Jazz and has played for a total of seven NBA teams.

Earlier this January, Williams even added three more teams to his list. The Atlanta Hawks, Denver Nuggets, and Philadelphia 76ers each had deals involving the journeyman following Cleveland's trade with Atlanta which sent Kyle Korver to the Cavs. However, Williams ended up in free-agency limbo after the Hawks, Nuggets, and Sixers all decided to waive him for salary cap purposes.
