The $100,000 prize pool of the MultiVersus Evo Championship tournament is up for grabs as registration opens today.
$100,000 on the line for MultiVersus Tournament at Evo 2022
Warner Bros. Games announced today that the registration for the MultiVersus Tournament at the Evolution Championship Series 2022 is now open. The tournament, which will be held from August 5-6 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, will have a $100,000 prize pool. Interested players can register for the competition here.
To hype up the competition, Warner Bros. Games invited FGC pro players Brokkr, Leviathan, ApologyMan, and Spooky for a 2v2 Pro Player Showcase. In the exhibition match, ApologyMan played as Tom & Jerry, Brokkr as Superman, Spooky as Shaggy, and Leviathan as Velma. The intense matchup was commentated by FGC Commentators Sharpie, AJAX, and IFC YupeS, and the best-of-five series was won by the Blue Team – ApologyMan and Brokkr.
MultiVersus is gaining a lot of traction in the FGC community thanks to its tight and responsive controls and faithful renditions of characters, most of which were even voiced by their respective voice actors that they are known for. MultiVersus is set to launch its Open Beta this July 2022 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC, with full cross-play support.
