Following rampant rumors of Paul George attempting to recruit Golden State Warriors marksman Klay Thompson for a potential future with the Los Angeles Lakers, his father, former Laker Mychal Thompson shut down the rumors with only a few sentences.

“Its always been a dream of mine,” Thompson told Mike Trudell of Lakers.com via Donald Green of Laker Film Room. “But it isn't a dream of his. He's in a dreamy situation. Believe me he isn't moving at all.”

Klay has now won two championships in the past three seasons, plays alongside an All-Star cast of unselfish players and get more open looks than a shooter of his caliber would get on any other team — not a bad situation to be in at all.

His contract expires in 2019 and management could potentially be forced to choose between him and Draymond Green, who becomes a free agent only a year after him.

Thompson is a Los Angeles native despite spending part of his life in Oregon and going to school at Washington State, but his ties don't run as deep as his father's when it comes to the purple-and-gold.

The 6-foot-7 shooting guard said in his exit interviews that he was having way too much fun winning with this team to think about potentially having a team of his own.
