Nairoby “Nairo” Quezada, prominent Smash competitor and streamer, announces his intent to return.

NAIRO REVEALS PLANS FOR FUTURE; WILL RETURN TO TWITCH STREAMING IF POSSIBLE

After almost eight months since allegations against him surfaced, Nairo is finally ready to return to the Smash community. He issued a statement last weekend, revealing his plans for the future. According to Nairo, he has finally settled the legal issues that have plagued his career over the past five months. Having reached a legal settlement with the other party, Nairo says he can now finally move on with his life.

Nairo also related how, on his birthday on November 7, his friends and community threw him a surprise birthday celebration on Discord. This gave Nairo renewed vigor and encouraged him to continue what he does, in spite of how hard it's going to be moving forward.

“I never saw myself competing again. I never saw myself working with teams and sponsors again. And as much as it suchs because I really, really love doing it, I never saw myself streaming and making content again.”

The positivity that came his way put him back on track. “Hearing their stories as well of how I just made their day-to-day life just better, just by me being me, just really made me happy, just really, really happy and very emotional.” He realized that the impact he has on his fans is enough reason for him to return.

In July last year, fellow pro Zack “CaptainZack” Lauth alleged that Nairo has engaged in a sexual relationship with him when CaptainZack was still a minor. Nairo responded by deactivating his social media accounts. But in October last year, he reactivated his accounts and refuted CaptainZack's allegations. He issued a lengthy statement to explain his side of the story, with many Smash pros corroborating his version of events.
