Given the success that the San Antonio Spurs and Golden State Warriors have enjoyed, better emphasis on ball movement has been placed by teams now more than ever.

The Spurs and Warriors have kept the ball alive most often and it has resulted to wide open looks, especially from long distance.

“Wide open” looks have been defined by NBA.com/stats as those with at least six feet of separation between the shooter and defender. That’s an incredibly significant space when it comes to players who aren’t the Stephen Currys and Klay Thompsons of the world, but are more Draymond Green and Kawhi Leonard-like.

On that note, CBS Sports came up with a ranking of the top shooting teams when given wide open looks. Here are the best-of-the-best from last season along with their percentages on wide open three-pointers, while the full list can be viewed in this article.

5 – San Antonio Spurs (41.2%)
No surprises here. They even deserve more brownie points by virtue of getting more wide open looks than most teams.

4 – Detroit Pistons (41.4%)
This is among the expected results of Stan Van Gundy’s offense, and they packed their frontline with agile players who can play power forward and also make long distance shots.

3 – Chicago Bulls (41.5%)
Fred Hoiberg gave this team more more inclination to playing more freely and as a result, those open looks.

2 – Toronto Raptors (42.6%)
They aren’t known to be a three-point shooting team, but their snipers have often delivered when given these precious opportunities.

1 – Golden State Warriors (43.7%)
Of course, the Warriors.
