Despite recently signing with Venezuelan team, Guaros de Lara, Nate Robinson is still not closing his doors on returning to the NBA someday.

The 5-foot-9 guard believes he belongs in the league, and even said, via Nina Mandell of USA Today Sports, that some teams can use his services as he can make an impact for them. He named some of the teams he played for, including the Chicago Bulls, as a good fit for him, especially with them having a big chance of making it to the playoffs.

“Playoff teams, that could use me right now: The Chicago Bulls for sure, I'm going to say them first because that was one of my favorite places to play. I was just disappointed they didn't give me a contract that they should have after I helped them get to the playoffs and done everything that I did.”

Robinson also added the New York Knicks as another possible destination for him, as he sees them benefitting from his experience, as well as their need for a veteran point guard.

“The Knicks, he thinks, could use him too. He spent five seasons there at the start of his career until he fell out of the rotation and demanded a trade in 2010. He ended up in Boston, but remains bitter about how his stint ended.”

He even enticed the teams to think of signing him as he made it clear he is not after the money, but just the opportunity to show everyone that he still has a lot left in the tank.

“I'm not a money guy,” he said. “If basketball in the NBA was free, I was still play. If the NFL was free, I'd play. Just because I love to play the game. Financially, it's for my family, for my kids. It's not really for me, I don't care about the fame. I would still play. Even if it's soccer, I would play.”

The former three-time Slam Dunk champion spent the last two months with the Delaware 87ers of the D-League, in hopes of generating interest around the NBA. Although he did not receive a call up, he will have the opportunity to resurrect his career in Venezuela, which many believe is his last chance to make a comeback.
