Manchester City has made its second haul in as many days, agreeing to a £43 million deal with Bournemouth defender Nathan Aké, according to Fabrizio Romano of The Guardian. The signing comes only a day after Pep Guardiola's side inked Valencia winger Ferran Torres to a deal well-under his estimated transfer value.

The Dutch international is eking out his personal terms, which could make his official signing only a matter of days. Ake could have an additional £1m in add-ons as part of the deal, according to Jonathan Smith of Goal.com.

The 25-year-old has been one of Bournemouth's best performers since coming over as a loan from Chelsea, making his stay a permanent one in 2017.

Nathan Aké moved to the south coast for a then-club record £20m but Bournemouth could cash in on that investment by doubling it, even as they drop down to the Championship at the end of a wild Premier League season.

Manchester City has struggled with his defense up to the middle since losing Vincent Kompany at the end of last season and playing his trusty defensive midfielder Fernandinho farther back after questions of age begin to surface. Guardiola simply hasn't found a sound combination at the back and it was only a matter of time before he took out the wallet to look for other talent.

Guardiola admitted this 2020-21 season could be a rebuilding one with cogs like David Silva, Leroy Sane, and others leaving the club. Nathan Aké could be part of that new blood that could juice up Man City's chances to make another run at the title.
