In his first five years in the league, Milwaukee Bucks All-Star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo has established himself as one of the premier players in the NBA.
Antetokounmpo's continued rise in his performance on the court this past season has helped him earn a 94 overall rating for NBA 2K19. The 23-year-old was told about his ranking by NBA 2K to which he voiced a hilarious response where he attempted to give a humble reaction to it all.

Antetokounmpo: “I would love my rating to be 94 (or) 93 around there because I always want to get better and improve through the year so I can get to 97, 98, 99. It gives me extra motivation.”
NBA 2K employee: “It definitely gives you Motivation. Do you want to know your rating?”
Antetokounmpo: “Yes, tell me.”
NBA 2k employee: “Your rating is a 94.”
Antetokounmpo: “Come on man. I didn't mean that man. I wish it was 99. No, I am joking. I think it is great and at the end of the season I think it's going to be very high.”
There isn't any true anger but the simple desire of accomplishment that he has earned the highest rating in the game is a special title to hold over his peers. He is currently tied for the fifth-best overall rating in NBA 2K19 with the likes of New Orleans Pelicans big man Anthony Davis and Toronto Raptors forward Kawhi Leonard.
Antetokounmpo has certainly put the work in to get that high ranking from NBA 2K given what he showed on the court last season further becoming a more potent offensive scorer while expanding his overall game. He is coming off a campaign where he averaged a career-high 26.9 points with 10.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.4 blocks per contest.
Although he was a bit playful with his reaction to what his rating is for the upcoming game, it looks like it will give him extra motivation to improve even further on his craft to earn that honor of being the highest-rated player in the league by NBA 2K.
