The Charlotte Hornets will be playing host to this year's NBA All-Star Weekend with the festivities slated to get underway in just under three weeks.

As a result, things are starting to unfold before our very eyes with details surrounding the annual events beginning to emerge as each day passes.

On Tuesday, ESPN's Zach Lowe gave NBA fans from around the world their first look at the court for this year's All-Star Game.

While these things typically encounter a wide range of comments and thoughts regarding the design, it appears as though just about everyone can agree that the league did a pretty good job with this one.

Not only does this design allow the court to still look like an actual basketball court, which is not always the case these days, but it encompasses both an All-Star and Charlotte infused flavor.

While it is always important to go above and beyond for events of this nature, the NBA has really done a great job at adding details where they are needed in addition to keeping things fun and interesting.

For example, the Charlotte flavor obviously comes from the honeycombs throughout the outside of the court. The best part about this portion? The honeycombs are on the outside of the court and will not take away from the game itself when it is happening.

Additionally, the accompanying star is found on the court numerous times to indicate that the game is a very special event for both the league and its fans alike.
