Charlotte Hornets star Kemba Walker had quite the reaction when he found out that he would earn his first-ever All-Star game start in his team's city.

The starters for the 2019 NBA All-Star Game were officially announced on Thursday, with Walker joining an excellent group of players in the Eastern Conference starting lineup.

Walker will join Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Irving, Toronto Raptors forward Kawhi Leonard, Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokuonmpo, and Philadephia 76ers center Joel Embiid in the starting group for the East.

And as expected, it was a special moment for Walker when he found out that he had indeed earned a starting nod for the huge game in Charlotte.

Walker is averaging 25.0 points, 5.7 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game this season, with the Hornets currently sitting at 23-24 overall.

This certainly has to be an awesome honor for Walker, as he has meant so much to the Charlotte franchise over the years. And now, he'll get to showcase his skills along with the league's top players in what is always an entertaining matchup.

As for the opponents, the West is led by Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, who will be joined by Golden State Warriors stars Steph Curry and Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City Thunder star Paul George, and Houston Rockets star James Harden.
