Ray Allen returned to the NBA on Friday, not as an official member of any team, but as a member of the Away team in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game.

Although Allen's team lost to the Home team 82-80, he still had an impressive performance, finishing with 24 points that included multiple shots from the four-point area.

This game was Allen's reminder to the world that he's indeed one of the best shooters of all-time.

After the game, the two-time NBA champion had this to say on Instagram.

Allen's last stint in the NBA was with the Miami Heat five years ago. When his team lost to the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals, he became a free agent, but did not sign with any team despite receiving a lot of interest from teams, including the Golden State Warriors.

The 10-time All-Star officially announced his retirement in 2016, putting an end to a career that lasted for 18 seasons.

Allen has a career average of 18.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists.

Following his appearance in the Celebrity Game, it is unclear what Allen's next move will be. There will certainly be offers for him to join TV companies like ESPN or TNT; or if he still wants to play basketball, the Big3 is always an option.

Still, it was nice to see Ray back on the court.
