When buying a pack or box of NBA cards, every hobbyist hopes to pull an insane banger or two. The reality is, there won’t even be one worth flipping in the market to get even a portion of the money you spent on these cards.

In a video shared by Cardporn, one of the worst scenarios that can happen to a card collector occurred. A break hosted by Dappz Sports featured several boxes of Panini’s National Treasures, Prizm, and Select. There was one noteworthy incident that everyone should be made aware of in it. A box of 2020-21 Panini Crown Royale Asia Exclusive was opened, only to reveal nothing inside.

Right before that moment, the breaker was speaking to someone while opening the said box up. As it was turned before the camera, the sight of emptiness matched the sudden silence and disbelief of the breaker and those watching the stream. After a few seconds of inspection, the breaker gave up with the thought that everything was captured on video.

While most NBA collectors wish this was a one-time incident, it really isn’t. For years, Panini has received a significant amount of complaints regarding quality control. Some involve error cards, damaged boxes, or even redemptions that weren’t fulfilled. A missing pack inside a box is certainly one of the complaints usually lodged against the card company.
