Murray State guard Ja Morant already has plenty of fans who have watched him come up from an unheralded school to superstardom, as he is now projected to be the No. 2 overall pick in next month's NBA Draft. Now, you can count Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade as one of them. The three-time NBA champion gave Morant a shoutout on Twitter, claiming he couldn't wait to the guard's career in the league unfold:

It makes sense why Wade is excited to watch Morant play. He put up some ridiculous numbers in his sophomore year at Murray State, averaging 24.5 points, 10 assists, and 5.7 rebounds a game. He has already drawn comparisons to Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook.

Morant is predicted to go within the top three picks. Obviously, the New Orleans Pelicans are supposed to take phenom Zion Williamson with the first pick. Then, it becomes a toss-up whether Morant will go second to the Memphis Grizzlies or third to the New York Knicks.

If Morant ends up with the Grizzlies, he will have an excellent veteran to look up to in Mike Conley, should Memphis choose to keep him rather than moving him. Conley is one of the biggest stand-up guys in the league and can help Morant grow immensely.

If New York selects him, Morant will immediately be handed the keys to the franchise. Barring free agent acquisitions, Morant will be the biggest name on the team and Knicks fans will look to him to raise the team from the depths it has fallen too.

Regardless of where he ends up, Morant has a bright future. Wade and all his fans will be keeping a close eye on him to see how he handles the league.
