Kentucky Wildcats coach John Calipari revealed the NBA has said that the NBA Draft Combine and NBA Draft will probably be moved back in wake of the coronavirus pandemic, according to SNY's Ian Begley.

The coach is hoping the date by which college players have to make a decision about whether or not they will declare for the NBA Draft will be moved back as well.

There's vast uncertainty when it comes to a set schedule, considering the NBA still doesn't know if and how it will resume the remainder of the 2019-20 season. Depending on the route, the NBA Draft could be pushed back several months, assuming it doesn't intersect with the playoffs. There has already been chatter about the alteration of the pre-draft process and how players will be scouted.

Executives around the league are hell-bent on having an NBA postseason and crowning a champion to put some finality to an odd 2019-20 season, but there is no guarantee that will happen.

Sporting leagues around the world have been forced to take a hiatus due to this worldwide pandemic. The NBA was the first major sports league to be brought to a halt in the United States, followed by the National Hockey League, Major League Baseball, Major League Soccer, and many others.

Pushing the NBA Combine and NBA Draft back is basically inevitable, as is the time that should be given to players to make a decision. Many that still have years of eligibility were left without a conclusion to their season, as play-in tournaments and The Big Dance were canceled amid the virus outbreak.
