The New Orleans Pelicans will be among the busiest teams in the 2019 NBA Draft. The Pelicans won the first overall pick in the lottery and acquired the fourth pick in a recent blockbuster deal that sent Anthony Davis to the Los Angeles Lakers.

While using the fourth pick to draft another building block makes sense for the Pelicans, fans are expecting that New Orleans will trade the pick. In a poll and odds on BetOnline.ag, it was revealed that the Pelicans are currently projected to deal the recently acquired first-round pick.

Marc Berman of the New York Post reported that the Pelicans have discussed the possibility of packaging the pick to move up in the draft. They are reportedly eyeing to get a higher pick, as they are interested in acquiring RJ Barrett, the teammate of consensus first overall pick Zion Williamson in Duke.

Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports also reported that the Pelicans are currently gauging interests on the fourth pick. Pelicans general manager David Griffin is open to moving the fourth pick, particularly to the Washington Wizards in a trade for superstar guard Bradley Beal. However, it appears the Wizards are dead set on keeping Beal in Washington.

Time is ticking for New Orleans, as the 2019 NBA Draft is set on Thursday. If the Pelicans eventually decide to keep the pick, multiple reports indicated that they will likely use it on Texas Tech standout Jarett Culver.
