With the NBA offseason in full swing, teams have shifted gears toward free agency and the 2018 Draft. The Sacramento Kings are among them as they hold the second overall pick.

There has been plenty of speculation regarding what they intend to do with it. Sacramento may have given a little insight after the son of team owner Vivek Ranadive posted a picture of his father along with general manager Vlade Divac meeting with Real Madrid star Luka Doncic on Instagram.luka doncic

It is interesting to see the Kings' brass fly out to Spain to meet with Doncic. The visit may even suggest that Sacramento could be seriously considering taking him with the second overall pick. Of course, it could also be that they were simply doing their due diligence on one of the best prospects in the upcoming draft.

Regardless, it is indicative of how Doncic's prospects have fluctuated thus far. Early projections have him going as high as No. 1 overall while others see him dropping out of the lottery. That said, his status seems to be up in the air at the moment.

There is no question that Doncic is perhaps the most decorated player to enter the draft in recent history. However, his pedigree as a star overseas has seemingly raised some concern over how well his game translates to the NBA. Furthermore, the Kings already spent last year's lottery pick on point guard De'Aaron Fox. With so many other holes in their roster, they very well could go in a different direction.
