Final Four Most Outstanding Player Donte DiVincenzo has impressed scouts and executives with his play in the NBA Draft Combine this past week, showing a well-built mix of all-around shooting, athleticism, playmaking, and an innate feel for the game.

A season-long sixth man for Villanova University, the 6-foot-5 sophomore did wonders for his stock with a career-high performance against the Michigan Wolverines, putting up a career-high 31 points on 10-of-15 from the floor and 5-of-7 from deep.

“I’m more than just a shooter,” DiVincenzo told Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports. “I want to show teams that I can do more. Playing point guard is one big thing that teams want to see — if I can control the tempo, get into the offense, get shots and pocket passes.

“I wasn’t going to change my game in three or four weeks, but I had to tighten my game up, tighten my shot up and tighten my handle up and tighten defense up. I had to get into the little details to get ready to go.”

DiVincenzo registered a tie for the best vertical leap of all prospects, along with Georgia Tech's Josh Okogie — measuring at a whopping 42 inches.

“He was arguably the best all-around player in the games,” a team executive in Chicago said, according to Charania.

The uber-athletic prospect is still undecided if he is to keep his name in the draft, but barring any injury or dip in performance, he should be a lock to stay and warrant a mid-to-late selection in the first round.
