The New Orleans Pelicans have been arduously looking to move their No. 4 overall pick, which they received in exchange for prized talisman Anthony Davis, and the Atlanta Hawks may be a suitor.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Hawks are in prime position to offer the best trade package for said pick, boasting the eighth and 10th overall selections in the draft, along with the cap space to soak up an unwanted contract:

“One team to watch today, pursuing that fourth pick, the Atlanta Hawks,” said Wojnarowski. “They've got the eighth pick, the 10th pick and the 17th pick in the first round. They've also got salary cap space to potentially absorb a bad contract from New Orleans, perhaps a Solomon Hill that would give the Pelicans some more cap space, get some money off the books there and then give them multiple picks in either today's first round or maybe get a pick for the future.

“But there's still several teams knocking at the door at No. 4. I think David Griffin could potentially take that all the way up to the clock tonight on the draft before deciding on whether to move the pick or keep it and select himself at No. 4.”

The Hawks will have plenty of competition for that No. 4 pick, which could potentially convey as Virginia's De'Andre Hunter, a capable all-around forward who could take the place of Taurean Prince, who was traded earlier this offseason. Texas Tech's Jarrett Culver may also be an option there.

The Hawks' offer will have to be one that forces the Pelicans to really think, and perhaps it's one too good to resist, as several other teams are vying for that pick right outside the holy trinity of this year's NBA Draft.
