With more NBA games being postponed due to the San Antonio Spurs' COVID-19 outbreak and the severe winter weather in Texas, the league is making an additional tweak to Wednesday's schedule.

The Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons are reportedly set to play on that day instead, with the teams finalizing the logistics for a game in Chicago, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium.

The Bulls were initially supposed to play the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday, but that game was postponed due to contact tracing stemming from the Spurs' outbreak. The Hornets played San Antonio over the weekend.

The Pistons had Tuesday's game against the Spurs postponed, and then Wednesday's was called off because of the winter storm that's devastating Texas.

With both Chicago and Detroit available to play, it only made sense to have them feel this open date on the schedule with a game against each other. Similarly, a game between the Denver Nuggets and Cleveland Cavaliers was added to the NBA schedule on Friday after they had games postponed.

The Bulls' last game was a 120-112 overtime win over the Indiana Pacers on Monday, while the Pistons’ most recent game was a 123-112 win against the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday.

The Bulls currently have an 11-15 record, which is good for ninth place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Pistons, meanwhile, are sitting at the bottom of the East standings with an 8-19 record, though they have won a handful of high-profile games.
