All the smack talk and back-and-forth between Toronto Raptors brand ambassador Drake and the Golden State Warriors has been well documented throughout this Finals series. However, the hip-hop artist recently put all this noise aside, as he sent out a genuine post-game message for Warriors superstar Kevin Durant, who was forced to leave Game 5 following what is suspected to be a torn Achilles.

Drake took to Instagram to share his thoughts and prayers for Durant, who appears to be facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

By coming out with such a heartfelt message here, Drake proved that his friendship with the players — be it on his team or on the opposing side — goes way beyond basketball. Winning remains to be one of the most important aspects of the sport, but obviously, brotherhood and camaraderie takes precedent over this.

Our prayers are also with Durant at this terrible time, but as they say, the show must go on. There is still an NBA title to be won, and as KD himself expressed, Golden State's win provided him with a much-needed emotional boost.

With the Warriors escaping with a 106-105 Game 5 victory in Toronto, the momentum now swings over to their side as they return to Oakland for Game 6. It is another must-win contest for the defending champs, but with the home crowd behind their back, this is definitely a matchup they are eagerly anticipating.

Game 6 is scheduled for Thursday night, as we go through another chapter in what is turning out to be one of the more memorable Finals matchups we've had in recent years.
