Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo is the 2020 Defensive Player of the Year, and he made sure to remind Deandre Ayton just that in Game 6 of the NBA Finals.

Early in the second quarter of the crucial showdown, Antetokounmpo spiked the ball away after Ayton's rather soft shot near the basket. While the Phoenix Suns big man tried to argue it was a goal tending, he really can't blame anyone but himself for giving that freebie to the Bucks forward.

Here's the full sequence of the play:

Giannis Antetokounmpo was in a great mood blocking shots early in their first closeout of the NBA Finals. In the opening quarter, he also pulled another LeBron James trademark chasedown block to stop Mikal Bridges.

Giannis Antetokounmpo's offense have been criticized a lot, especially due to his lack of shooting. However, when it comes to his defense and the effort he puts in, no one can really say anything bad about it. He always tries to go after shots, even if it means getting embarrassed or ending up on the wrong end of poster dunks.

The Bucks certainly needed Giannis to be on point defensively in the NBA Finals, though, especially since the Suns have one of the best offenses with Devin Booker and Chris Paul leading the way.
