Things got a little bit tense between Miami Heat forward Jae Crowder and Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James after the former slammed the ball out of the latter's hands. Several words were exchanged but fortunately, it didn't escalate into an altercation during Game 1 of the 2020 NBA Finals.

A foul was called while James was powering through the paint against Crowder and Andre Iguodala. Crowder didn't seem pleased with the call and so he slapped the ball out of James' hands. Anthony Davis quickly entered the picture in defense of James.

It's hard to tell if Crowder uttered a word or two. Though James and Crowder were teammates in Cleveland, they have played more games against each other than together as teammates. So one can assume that there's a bit of animosity between the two.

Besides, it's the NBA Finals. Their friendship must be put to the side for the time being as the two athletes compete at the highest stage for the sport.
