The Golden State Warriors are on the brink of elimination in the NBA Finals. They are down 3-1 in the best-of-seven series against the Toronto Raptors, and a loss in Game 5 on Monday would be the end of their season. But All-Star guard Klay Thompson is optimistic that the Dubs can still turn the series around.

In his pre-Game 5 interview, Thompson said that he wasn't playing at 100 percent in Game 4, but hopes that he'll fully healthy tomorrow night. He added that people will a resilient Warriors team against the Raptors, as they usually play at their best when their backs are against the wall.

“It’s a little more daunting being down, 3-1. But usually when our backs are against the wall, we respond the best. So hopefully I’ll add another part to whatever legacy you want to carve out for me tomorrow — Game 5 Klay, whatever. But if I compete to the best of my ability, I’ll be satisfied with the results.”

Thompson and the Warriors have already proven that they can come back from a 3-1 deficit when they beat the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2016 Western Conference Finals. Should Golden State be able to win this series, they will be the second team in NBA history to come back from a 3-1 deficit in the Finals.

However, they will be facing a Raptors team who's aiming to make history by winning the franchise's first-ever title. Toronto will be extremely motivated to take the Warriors out for good tomorrow night, to avoid going back to Oakland for Game 6.

Both teams will be driven to win tomorrow night, and at the end of the day, the one who will be able to play consistent on both ends of the floor will come out on top.
