Frank Vogel vocally expressed his disappointment over the foul calls that the Los Angeles Lakers received in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, and he was partly correct.

Following the Lakers' narrow loss in game 5 on Friday night, it was revealed that the referees missed two foul calls on the Miami Heat in the fourth quarter.

Within the NBA's L2M report, the league shared that Andre Iguodala should have been called for a defensive three-second violation with 28 seconds remaining in the game. Even though the Lakers would score on the possession, they should have received a free throw and possession with the score being 107-106 in favor of Miami.

On the other hand, it was discovered that Jimmy Butler should have received a foul on LeBron James with a little over a minute remaining. Butler made illegal contact with LeBron's head as the Lakers star was attempting to score around the rim.

LeBron was able to get his own rebound and score in the paint despite the foul. Still, the four-time NBA MVP should have been at the free-throw line as well.

While the Lakers should have gotten two foul calls, the NBA did go against Vogel's remarks after Friday's game. The league confirmed that Butler's two fouls drawn late in the game were legitimate, contradicting what Vogel saw during the contest.

Of course, Los Angeles is staring at a Game 6 versus Miami due to an inopportune late-game turnover by Markieff Morris and a missed wide-open three by Danny Green. However, if you're the Lakers, you would've preferred to get the foul calls during the game — not hear about it after.
