Former Golden State Warriors forward Matt Barnes did not hold back in his criticism of the officiating in Game 2 of the NBA Finals between the Dubs and the Toronto Raptors. The retired former NBA champ was so disgruntled with how the referees were calling the game that he decided to directly call them out via his Twitter account:

This is typical Matt Barnes behavior here, and we could almost picture his angry expression as he was typing this irate tweet. The 6-foot-7 forward even singled out referee Tony Brothers, who he believes was a bit too whistle-happy in the first half of the contest. Now retired, Barnes knows he can pretty much say anything he wants against game officials without risking a hefty fine from the league.

Then again, Barnes may have a case here, as there were some calls that were not only questionable, but caused the game to slow down to an almost sluggish pace.

Nevertheless, the Warriors still came out on top in this one, thanks in large part to a tremendous third quarter, where they outscored the Raptors, 34-21. Golden State eventually emerged with a 109-104 victory, and they have now evened out the series at 1-1.

The advantage is now definitely on the side of the defending champs, as they now head home with a critical away victory. Momentum will also be in their favor, as the Warriors hope to make it two wins in a row against the Raptors in Game 3 on Wednesday night.
