Nicolas Batum's agent, Jeremy Medjana, revealed that the veteran small forward is drawing interest from six NBA teams after getting waived by the Charlotte Hornets.

Medjana recently told Basket Session that six playoff teams have contacted him about signing Batum, via Hoops Hype:

“Six teams have contacted us and showed interest in Nico: Nets, Warriors, Jazz, Clippers, Bucks and Raptors,” Medjana said. “Nico is in the best shape of his life. He’s been working hard with coaches for two months. He lost ten kilos (roughly 22 pounds).”

Nicolas Batum appeared in 22 games for the Hornets in 2019-20 before the season was suspended in March due to COVID-19. He averaged 3.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game while shooting 34.6 percent from the field, 28.6 percent from beyond the arc and 90.0 percent from the free-throw line.

The Hornets waived and stretched Batum so they could sign former Utah Jazz and Boston Celtics swingman Gordon Hayward to a $120 million contract in unrestricted free agency.

In 789 NBA games with the Portland Trail Blazers and Hornets, Batum has compiled averages of 11.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists. He will turn 32 on Dec. 14, just eight days before the 2020-21 season starts.

It's going to be interesting to see where Batum lands. He'll probably get the vet minimum from some NBA team and come off the bench.
