The annual NBA trade deadline is fast approaching, and teams are expected to look for trades to shore up their roster for the second half of the 2018-19 season.

Several players will become trade-eligible on Tuesday, per ESPN's Bobby Marks. According to the report, the players were previously ineligible for trade because of them “signing with the early or bird exception and the first season of their new contract greater than 120 percent from the previous season.”

Marcus Smart, Joe Harris, Zach LaVine, Rodney Hood, Nikola Jokic, Will Barton, Chris Paul, Clint Capela, Avery Bradley, Montrezl Harrell, Paul George, Jerami Grant, Aaron Gordon, Jusuf Nurkic, Davis Bertans, Bryn Forbes, Fred VanVleet, Derrick Favors, Raul Neto, and Dante Exum will all be trade eligible.

Among these players, only Hood and LaVine have the right to decline any trade. Hood is expected to draw attention before the trade deadline, while LaVine could also be mentioned in trade rumors in the next few weeks.

Hood is playing in the final season of his contract. The Cleveland Cavaliers are expected to consider moving him in trades instead of losing him for nothing in free agency this summer. The 26-year-old guard is averaging 12.8 points to go along with 2.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 27.6 minutes per game this season.

On the other hand, LaVine could also become a dispensable asset for the Bulls, especially if they continue to decline in the standings. The 23-year-old guard is averaging 23.6 points on top of 4.3 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game. However, the Bulls are having a dismal season, holding 10-33 record, which is the second-worst in the league.
