Friday's Miami Heat versus Dallas Mavericks match-up at the AmericanAirlines Arena will surely feel like a homecoming for Slovenian stars Goran Dragic and Luka Doncic.

Per Brad Townsend of the Dallas Morning News, around 2,500 Slovenian fans will reportedly make the trip to South Beach to watch the country's two best basketball stars go at it.

Several international media representatives will also be in town to watch the game, including 15 Slovenian, three Serbian, and two Spanish journalists.

One fan even noted that tomorrow's fan base will likely be around 13 percent Slovenian.

Considered as the past and present of Slovenian basketball, Goran Dragic and Luka Doncic first figured in a blockbuster match-up last year, March 28, also in Miami.

Dragic and the Heat got the better of the Mavs, 105-99, in a match where Goran dropped a triple-double performance of 23 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 dimes. Doncic, meanwhile, scattered 19 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists in the losing effort.

The pair of European floor generals even exchanged jerseys after the intense game.

Way before LukaMania took over the NBA, Goran Dragic was considered the cream-of-the-crop in terms of Slovenia's best point guards. He served as an understudy of the legendary Steve Nash back with the Phoenix Suns in his early years, before establishing himself as an elite guard in the pros.

Dragic, now 33 years old, has slowed down a bit and has since retired from representing Slovenia in international competitions. He knows his country is in good hands, with Doncic now handling the keys to the team.

The Dragon is notching 16.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists while shooting 45.1 percent from the field and 38.7 percent from deep in his 12th season.

Doncic, meanwhile, needs no introduction since he made a significant leap to superstardom this season. He is an MVP frontrunner this year with averages of 28.7 points, 9.6 rebounds, 8.7 assists, and 1.0 steal.
