NBA reporting king Adrian Wojnarowski is back.

After the veteran NBA reporter was suspended by ESPN for sending a two-line, profane email to a senator that was questioning the NBA’s relationship with China, Woj returned on Friday to drop a classic “Woj bomb” regarding Indiana Pacers big man Domantas Sabonis and his foot injury.

In a New York Post interview by Andrew Marchand, Woj discussed the email, as well as his handling of the fallout from his vulgar, but amusing, outburst:

“I regretted sending that email,” Adrian Wojnarowski, ESPN's top NBA reporter, told Marchand. “I have not made a habit of doing that, but I sent that one and I regret it.

“I understood the decision they made. I accept it. I left them no choice. You can’t do what I did and not expect there to be consequences. I’m far more comfortable reporting the news, trying to break the news than being the news. I take pride in always letting the story be the news and letting the league be the news. My action caused me to be the news and I regret that.”

Seeing as ESPN is owned by one of the largest corporations in the world, The Walt Disney Company — who maintains a squeaky-clean image for mass consumption — it was no surprise that they handed down a suspension for the venerable NBA reporter.

However, though NBA Twitter missed Woj during his absence, he’s back, apologetic for his actions, and ready to roll now that the real NBA games are close to being played. The seeding games are set to start on July 30 after the scrimmage games are over. NBA fans are thrilled that basketball and Woj are back.
