Allen Iverson is undeniably one of, if not the most influential NBA superstars during the late 1990s/early 2000s. He did it all throughout his decorated career. Except for one thing — winning a championship.

When asked how often he thinks about not winning an NBA title, Iverson took a deep breath. He needed several seconds before coming out with a rather surprising response to this burning question:

“I never think about it,” Iverson said, via Bleacher Report. “Never. Until I hear something like that question. I came close. Tried. But it didn't happen.”

It's hard to believe that Iverson never actually thinks about this one gaping hole in his Hall of Fame resume. Then again, A.I. is unlike any other player in the history of the NBA, so this actually makes a lot of sense if you think about it.

Iverson then went on a bit of a flex as he went through all the accolades he achieved in his career, which includes being the first overall pick, Rookie of the Year, All-Star, All-NBA, All-Star MVP, and league MVP, among others. According to the legend himself, he has God to thank for all these blessings he received throughout his tenure in the NBA. It is because of all of these that he is able to hold his head up high today despite the fact that he never got a chip.

“He didn't want that for me,” he said as he discussed everything else God has blessed him with.

Iverson has been through quite a journey not only in his career but in his life as well. It's just so heart-warming to hear these things coming out of the mouth of someone who you would have never thought could be capable of this level of maturity some 20 years ago.

Allen Iverson has definitely come a long way.
