Golden State Warriors superstar point guard Stephen Curry is the best shooter in NBA history and someone who really doesn't get flustered by opposing defenders. However, Miami Heat forward Andre Iguodala–who won three titles with Curry on the Warriors–says New Orleans Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday is one guy he's seen “scar” Curry before.

Iguodala also told Bill Simmons of The Ringer that Holiday should have a few Defensive Player of the Year Awards on his belt (31:24):

In the 2018 playoffs against the Portland Trail Blazers, Andre Iguodala might have noticed that Jrue Holiday put Blazers superstar Damian Lillard in the torture chamber.

The Pelicans swept the Blazers and Holiday limited Lillard to 18.5 points per game on 35.2 percent shooting from the field and 30.0 percent from beyond the arc.

Holiday and the Pelicans have never defeated Stephen Curry and the Warriors in the playoffs, a fact Andre Iguodala is aware of, but Jrue has done a decent job on Steph in terms of his individual defense.

Pelicans fans, along with Iguodala, know how valuable Holiday is to the team. He's one of the most underrated players in the NBA and a guy who is going to give it his all on both ends of the floor.

Even though Zion Williamson is the face of the Pelicans franchise in the post-Anthony Davis era, a case could be made that Holiday is the most important player for New Orleans' success.
