Clarke was reportedly leaving practice when he met the accident. Kentucky teammate BJ Boston was also with him during the incident but was in a separate vehicle. The details of the accident remain unclear at this point, but it was also reported that Clarke died as he was being rushed to a nearby hospital.
This is indeed some very dreadful news and it has been met by disbelief by other players in the NBA:
Tell me that ain’t true about Terrence…

Clarke, 19, spent the previous season with the Wildcats as a freshman. A leg injury cut his season short as he was only able to suit up for eight games for Kentucky. The 6-foot-7 guard produced 9.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 28.6 minutes of action.
Clarke recently declared for the 2021 Draft. Given his athleticism and NBA-ready frame, the general consensus was that he was going to get selected somewhere in the middle or towards the latter part of the first round.
This is a tragic development for a young man who had a very bright future ahead of him. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Terrence Clarke.
