This year's All-Star festivities featured a brand new alteration to Sunday's All-Star Game. Amazingly, the league finally changed direction and ditched the old All-Star game format in favor of something that would bring more excitement to the night itself.

In this new format, voters got an opportunity to vote for their team captains who would draft their own selection of players to participate in the Sunday game.

Interestingly, the All-Star Game actually was received well and the league will likely put more effort into the game next year. Of course, there are some people who have voiced their displeasure with the All-Star game even after the massive overhaul.

TNT analyst and former player Brent Barry apparently was one of those critics, as revealed in his tweet.

“When I go to a comedian’s show I am more than sure I could take some good natured ribbing but if comedian comes to an all star game to host, it would be best to respect the work, the why and the what an all star player has put in to achieving the right to be on that stage.”

Kevin Hart was the comedian that hosted the introductions for the All-Star game. Barry apparently has taken issue with Hart's roasting of the 2018 NBA All-Stars. This is surprising. Hart is known for his light-hearted comedy that is centered to make fun of others. The NBA knew this when they invited him to be a host, so it's unlikely that anyone was offended in any way.

Being a player from a previous generation, it may be difficult for Barry to relate to things that happen in today's league. Then again, this is just another case of a retired player complaining about another trivial issue.
