LaVar Ball has uttered a lot of delusional words over the last couple of months, but some of the most delusional words he’s ever spoken came earlier today when he revealed his plan to have all three of his kids play for the Los Angeles Lakers or else Lonzo Ball walks away in free agency. As crazy as that may sound, the Chicago Bears’ Kyle Long believes there might be something to LaVar’s plan that he should have considered not long ago.

His brother, Chris, won Super Bowl LI with the New England Patriots two years ago after leaving the St. Louis Rams, and that was the time when Kyle’s fifth-year option on his rookie deal was picked up by the Chicago Bears.

The younger Long reposted a tweet from Sports Illustrated citing LaVar’s plan for all three kids with his own thoughts on the matter:

“I missed this opportunity with Chris two years ago when he left the rams and now he has two Super Bowls Maybe lavar is on to something”

There was a chance that Kyle and his brother could have won Super Bowl LI as well as LII together, but he missed that opportunity.

The Ball father’s plan is to get Lonzo, LiAngelo, and LaMelo to play together with the Lakers to win championships as a family, something that Kyle wishes he had considered recently. Whether he seriously means it or not is hard to determine over Twitter.

However, Kyle and Chris are both in the NFL already and they have a greater chance of playing together than the Ball brothers.

In LaVar’s case, he is banking on Lonzo’s talent to be such that the Lakers would want to draft his younger, less talented brothers, just to keep him with the team. As good as Lonzo is as a rookie, he’s not that good, at least not yet, for the Lakers to even think about that possibility.

You’re right, Kyle, LaVar may be onto something.
