The Chicago Bulls and Houston Rockets have completed the Carmelo Anthony trade, the teams announced Tuesday.

Anthony, the draft rights to Jon Diebler and $1.56 million will head to Chicago, while Houston will receive the draft rights to Tadija Dragicevic. The two teams had to change the rights to the international players who were involved in the deal to make it a legal trade:

Carmelo Anthony won't play for the Bulls, who will reportedly wait until the trade deadline to part ways with the veteran forward. Melo played in just 10 games with the Rockets before Houston decided the experiment was not going to work out.

Anthony, 34, averaged 13.4 points and 5.4 rebounds with the Rockets while shooting 40.5 percent from the field, 32.8 percent from beyond the arc and 68.2 percent from the free-throw line.

Carmelo Anthony hasn't played in an NBA game since Nov. 8. He finished with two points against the Oklahoma City Thunder and shot a putrid 1-of-11 from the floor. It was after that game when Houston reportedly made the decision that Anthony couldn't function with them.

So, what's next for Anthony? Reports have stated there might be some interest in Melo once he becomes a free agent, but we'll likely have to wait until after the trade deadline to see if that's true or not.
