Hall of Famer Charles Barkley was recently a guest on “The Dan Patrick Show” and the NBA icon absolutely destroyed Kevin Durant, who is now on the Brooklyn Nets after his three-year run with the Golden State Warriors from 2016 to 2019.

Barkley, who never won an NBA title during his playing career, said Durant will remain a “bus rider” instead of a “bus driver” until he wins a title with the Nets as the best player.

Kevin Durant won two titles with the Warriors in 2017 and 2018. He was named Finals MVP both times, but Charles Barkley wasn't impressed since Durant joined a 73-9 Warriors team in 2016 after choking in the 2016 Western Conference Finals with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

To recall, Durant and the Thunder had a 3-1 series lead over the Warriors in the 2016 WCF before losing three straight games to Stephen Curry and Co. KD, one of the greatest scorers in NBA history, caught a lot of flack for hopping on the Warriors' bandwagon instead of sticking it out with Rusell Westbrook and the Thunder.

The Nets should be title contenders next season with Durant and star point guard Kyrie Irving leading the way. KD missed the entire 2019-20 season recovering from his Achilles tear, so he is certainly motivated to come back stronger in 2020-21 and prove guys like Barkley wrong.

With the Thunder and Warriors, Durant has compiled NBA averages of 27.0 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game in the regular season.
