NBA analyst Charles Barkley has some strong words for LaVar Ball following his controversial remarks towards ESPN host Molly Qerim.

In an interview with TMZ, Barkley called the Ball patriarch an idiot for his inappropriate response to Qerim that led to him being banned from all ESPN platforms.

“Wherever LaVar Ball is, there's a village missing an idiot. We should just keep LaVar off television. That would be the best way to be,” Barkley said.

LaVar was a guest on ESPN's ‘First Take' last week when he and the hosts of the show discussed the trade that sent his son, Lonzo Ball, to the New Orleans Pelicans. As LaVar and Stephen A. Smith were having a somewhat heated discussion about the matter, Qerim interjected and asked Ball if they can ‘switch gears.'

LaVar responded by saying “You can switch gears with me anytime.” Qerim's eyes grew wide in shock, but she remained professional and told LaVar to ‘stay focused.'

This incident drew mixed reactions on the internet. Qerim's colleagues in the mass media industry praised her for keeping her cool during LaVar's ‘inappropriate' statement, while others didn't see anything disrespectful to what Ball said.

LaVar, through his representatives, said he didn't mean for his statement to be taken the wrong way. However, he never apologized, as he feels like he didn't do anything wrong.

Still, ESPN decided to ban LaVar from appearing on any of their future contents.

Apparently, Ball doesn't care about ESPN's decision. He stood by what he said. He even told reporters recently that the only time he will hit on Qerim is if she breaks into his house.

Of course, Barkley had to react. After all, he has never been a fan of LaVar.
