Charles Barkley is one funny dude. As it turns out, his sense of humor actually extends to the more significant aspects of his life. Just ask his daughter, Christiana.

In a recent episode of Barkley's podcast with NBA on TNT co-host Ernie Johnson, Sir Charles came to a rather shocking admission about his own daughter. Barkley revealed that he had a rather odd inspiration when deciding about his daughter's name:

“Well she's named after a mall, in fairness,” Barkley said. “There's a Christiana Mall in Delaware that I used to always go by. That's how she got her name – Christiana.”

Charles Barkley loves to joke around but it sounds like he was dead serious here. The Hall of Famer actually named his daughter after a mall in Delaware. To be fair, it is a very nice name. It's just that the inspiration behind it is contentious, to say the least.

Ernie Johnson could not believe what he had just heard and he needed a second to collect his thoughts. When he asked Barkley how he came to this life-changing decision, the Phoenix Suns legend said that he “just liked the mall.”

Well, there you have it, folks. Charles Barkley at his finest. I just wonder how Christiana feels about all this.
