TNT analyst and former NBA star Charles Barkley is a strong advocate for the COVID-19 vaccine and he also had some harsh words for people who refuse to get vaccinated.

Barkley appeared on CNBC and called out anyone who refuses to get the shot:

Yes, I’m vaccinated,” Barkley said, per CNBC. “Everybody should be vaccinated. Period.”

“The only people who are not vaccinated are just assholes,” Charles Barkley added.

Okay, he's not wrong. With the Delta variant ripping its way across the United States, it's imperative right now that everyone is getting vaccinated. But with the conspiracy theories making their way around social media, this is just simply not the case and that's why there's been a surge in cases.

Studies show that the unvaccinated make up 97% of the hospitalized patients in the States. Charles Barkley also had another good point after hearing about the NFL players who caused an uproar over the new COVID-19 rules:

“Can you imagine if one of these guys that are not vaccinated, if they get one of these players’ kids, wives, girlfriends, moms and dads sick and they die over some unnecessary conspiracy bulls—,” Charles Barkley explained. “I think that would be tragic.”

Pfizer has a 95% efficacy rate against the variants and there haven't really been any complications with this vaccine. Yet, there are still loads of people in the US who are skeptical. Until everyone gets vaxxed, COVID-19 will continue to affect people. It's that simple. Charles Barkley is spot on.
