Dwyane Wade said earlier this week that he was going to wait until he was back from China to make a decision about playing next year, but it appears now that a team is trying to get him to sign a contract before he even comes back to the United States.

According to a report out of China on Saturday by Zhang Duo, the Xinjiang Flying Tigers are preparing a monster contract offer to try and get Wade to play his basketball in China next season.

It's unclear if Wade will listen to the offer, but he was set earlier this week on not worrying about basketball until he comes back from China.

“When I get back from China, I’ll focus on that,” he told the Associated Press. “Right now, I'm focused on the game after basketball. Whatever happens in basketball, it happens. I've done everything that I can to this point to put myself that I'm in this position I am today, where I can do something that hasn't been done globally yet.”

“The basketball will take care of itself. I'll sit down and figure that out once I get back from this tour at some point.”

The Heat can only pay Wade a mid-level exception but it really doesn't seem to be about money for Wade as he has stated before he wants to end his career with the team.

Wade did just sign a lifetime shoe deal with Li Ning out of China, so maybe that will be enough to decide that he wants to play a year or two overseas.
