Chris Webber's decorated career reached its summit on Saturday after the five-time All-Star was inducted into the James Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. He went around the block quite a bit throughout his 15 years in the NBA, but recently, Webber came to a rather surprising admission about his former Philadelphia 76ers teammate Allen Iverson.

Webber has been teammates with a handful of all-time greats throughout his tenure in the NBA, but in his mind, C-Webb has no doubt that Iverson is the best of the best:

“A.I. is the best athlete that I've ever seen in my life. He's the best player I've ever played with, Period,” said Webber, via The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Webber joined AI in Philly in 2005. This was during the tail end of Webber's career when he became a first-hand witness of the rise of Allen Iverson. At that time, AI was at his prime and it was in the 2005-06 season that he averaged a career-best 33.0 points per game for the Sixers. This was one of the most outstanding seasons in Iverson's Hall of Fame career, and it isn't surprising that it's had a lasting impact on such an esteemed player like Chris Webber.
