Free agent NBA guard Darren Collison has a meeting set with his agent early next week in order to finalize a decision on a potential comeback to the league, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

If Collison decides he wants to play, his agent will set up meetings with the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers:

Free agent guard Darren Collison has a meeting set with his agent, Bill Duffy, early next week in order to finalize a decision on a potential comeback, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Upon a decision to return, Duffy's next step will be to set up formal meetings for Collison with the Los Angeles Lakers and LA Clippers, sources told Wojnarowski.

With the Indiana Pacers last season, Collison averaged 11.2 points, 3.1 rebounds and 6.0 assists in 76 games during the regular season. He shot 46.7 percent from the field, 40.7 percent from beyond the arc and 83.2 percent from the free-throw line.

Collison, who played his college ball at UCLA, has career NBA averages of 12.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 708 games with the New Orleans Hornets, Pacers, Dallas Mavericks, Clippers and Sacramento Kings.

The Lakers and Clippers are atop the Western Conference standings. The Purple and Gold are 38-12, while the Clippers are 36-15.

Collison was at the Lakers game on Thursday against the Houston Rockets.
