NBA legend Dennis Rodman almost took the world by storm by making a huge admission via his Instagram account. As it turns out, however, it was merely an early April Fool's Day gag.

Rodman recently posted a brief video on his Instagram in what was building up to be an earth-shattering confession. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately, depending on how you feel about this), Rodman was just being his silly self by using the moment to remind all of us of one of the biggest pop hits of the 80's.

Based on the comments on the post, it appeared that Rodman's followers absolutely loved the gag. To be honest, I am still unsure how I actually feel about the semi prank. What I am certain of, however, is that Dennis Rodman remains to be one of the greatest players to ever take the court.

Perhaps most remembered for his on-court antics and ferocious style of play (and his ever-changing hair styles and hair color, of course), some might be a bit surprised by Rodman's highly-impressive list of accomplishments.

Inducted in the Basketball Hall of Fame back in 2011, the 6-foot-7 forward is a five-time NBA champion. He won back-to-back titles with the Detroit Pistons in 1989 and 1990, and was part of the Chicago Bulls and Michael Jordan three-peat between 1996 to 1998.

Dennis Rodman is also a two-time All-Star and was awarded as the league's Defensive Player of the Year on two separate occasions. He is a two-time All-NBA team member and was part of the All-Defensive squad eight times. The Trenton, New Jersey native also led the league in rebounds for a total of seven season.

Throughout his career, Rodman boasts averages of 7.3 points, 13.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.6 blocks per contest.
