Former New York Knicks head coach and NBA star Derek Fisher got engaged to Gloria Govan according to a TMZ report.

Govan used to be married to NBA veteran and Derek Fisher's former teammate, Matt Barnes. The two had twin sons together.
Back when Fisher and Govan were just dating, Barnes went to check on his sons when Fisher was watching them and it escalated into a big fight. Although no charges were filed, Barnes was suspended by the NBA for two games for his role in the altercation.
Since that point, Fisher and Barnes have worked through their differences and Barnes actually told TMZ he was happy for the couple.
“I have two beautiful boys from my ex we are both focussing on co-parenting & providing the best atmosphere & childhood for them,” Barnes said … “They love him, so I love it.
“Despite not seeing eye to eye initially w Derek he & I are on the same page & communicate weekly about Isaiah and Carter.”
“With that being said congrats on the engagement!”
It's good to see that Barnes and Fisher were able to work out the issues because that will make life easier for the kids and everyone involved.
For Barnes and Govan, there hasn't been a date picked for the wedding, but that will probably be announced pretty soon.
